Architectural Internship at UNStudio
UNStudio is an internationally operating architectural firm with projects in the Netherlands, Europe, Asia, USA and the Middle East. Our portfolio has a wide variety of projects of various scales. We strive to make a significant contribution to the discipline of architecture, to continue to develop our qualities with respect to design, technology, knowledge and management and to be a specialist in public network projects. The practice has an ISO quality system.
The atmosphere in our office is informal, international, multidisciplinary, highly ambitious and very dynamic, but also friendly with a focus on personal development and career planning where possible. The average age of our employees is 34 years and our employee base is made up of about 18 different nationalities. Almost all employees have an academic background.
For our office in Amsterdam we are looking for interns who will participate as a full team member in one of our projects. Both creative input and solid production is what we require. Tasks include assistance in designing and drafting, (2D + 3D) and physical model production. The internship will be for a minimum of 6 months, preferably a year.
Required skills:
· Inscribed in a university or higher technical school programme
· At least a bachelor degree (or equivalent)
· Preferably some work experience from earlier internships
· Good knowledge of AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite package
· Good knowledge of Rhinoceros, preferably also of Grasshopper, and evt. Scripting
· Good design capacities
· Fluent in written and spoken English
· A team player, reliable, pro-active, flexible and dedicated.
In our office interns are considered full team members and are encouraged to widely contribute to our projects.
