大概在半年前第一次發現你的網站，那時只覺得很羨慕可以讀建築的人， 現在我在申請出國唸書，也是在不久前，決定了………就是建築了!（不過我下這個決定之前真的猶豫了很久，這個以後再說吧）
我有幾個問題要請教你：
（１）非本科系的學生進入建築研究所之後，要選擇攻讀的領域嗎？
我在UCLA的網站上看到
Mster of Architecture1(3+)
Areas of Study : None
Master of Architecture2
Areas of Study : The areas of study for the M.Arch.2 are design,technology,and critical studies in architectural culture.
而在ut-austin 的design with climate 的program課程中：
標（E）的課程:first professional degree with emphasis in design with claimate(15 units)
標（S ) : first professional degree with specialization in design with claimate(33 units)
標（pp) : post professional degree program(M.Arch.) (45 units)
這代表first professional degree （3+）的學生也是可以選領域的嗎？那麼emphasis和specialization在畢業證書上會有什麼不同嗎？
（２）如果像ucla 不用選攻讀的領域，那麼sop中要怎麼寫我在研究所想唸什麼呢？
還有professinal goals ?真的很不解美國人是怎麼想的，
我的想法：畢業-->找工作=professional goals(雖然我知道一定不是這樣寫）
寫了這麼多，謝謝你有耐心看完，這幾天我都上網看學校的資料，但是一直在原地打轉，有些問題不解決，是沒有辦法到下一步的。最後…希望eager有時間就回信給我囉！也希望你的設計順利完成！

是指學生在學校時選修不同的老師帶的設計案，而有所區別，除非像是哈佛一年招
收三四百個建築學生，才有可能分得那麼清楚，不過依我看來，您似乎跟我一樣大
學都不是念建築本科系的，所以唯一的選擇就是那種三年的課程。
至於目標是什麼？這個可能得問您自己，因為建築分太多種了，像是數位建築就跟
傳統的建築設計方法很不同，所以您可以好好思考再去填寫申請表格。

I think one thing you really need to ask yourself is ‘do I want to become a registered or licensed architect in United States?’
The architecture schools in USA are focused on this licensing issue. One pre-requirement to take the architecture exam is to graduate with a “professional degree” from a school that is accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). For example; Eager will receive his first professional degree upon graduation in US. This will give him the eligibility to take the test once he finishes his IDP (Internship Development Program). This professional degree can only be obtained through 3 years program in graduate school. This program also known as “M.Arch. 1”.
One year or one and half year “Post Professional Degree” is for people who already received a professional degree from the past, who feel there is a need for more upgrade. This program is also known as “M. Arch. 2”.
Let’s summarize… Want to become a Licensed Architect or Registered Architect in USA….
Plan A: From high school ….4 years college (obtain Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art)…3 years graduate school (obtain professional degree, Master of Architecture)…3 years of working experiences for IDP….take the test.
Plan B: From high school…5 years college (obtain professional degree, Bachelor of Architecture)….1.5 year graduate school (obtain post-professional degree, Master of Architecture 2)…2 years of working experiences for IDP…take the test.
If you don’t care about the license for practice, don’t worry, join any program and have fun.

我是個念完五年大學建築系畢業的人
最近看上了一種program......" interior architecture"
不過查了一下 有這種program 的美國研究所好像不多耶....
偶沒有前輩有這方面資訊要提供....
或是相關建議的 小女子先行謝過了.....
